That's a wrap (for now)
My last blog post of the year. I know. I feel like I was finally picking up some momentum but I think that this will be a good thing in the long wrong. I’m taking a storytelling mentorship class with THE Pascal Campion that starts up next week and I want to put all my focus (besides work of course) on that to get the most out of it. It’s going to help my storytelling overall but also I’ll have some time to mull over what I wanted to share with authors about becoming illustrators in a way that would be clear, concise, and easy to follow. Something I don’t think I could do on the fly; in other words I’d have to do quite a bit of planning! There’s also a voice in my head saying “what do you know/what right do you have?” which has some merit because I’m by no means what I would call a great illustrator and I have a lot to learn myself! That being said I do feel what I was going to explore was my own unique way of looking at things, and if that could help even just one person take the leap and try to illustrate for themselves (keeping in mind it’s a journey) then I’d do my best to share that information. As a self taught artist, it’s the least I can do for all those that helped me (and continue to help me) along the way! Until 2025!
